Asked "where can I order from tonight", assistants on the Lisbon index sent people to the business's own site in 74% of answers and to a delivery app in 23%, measured on 14 October 2026. The delivery answers were mostly places whose only ordering path is the app. Adding one on your own site changes the answer.

| Option | How it works |
|---|---|
| A direct ordering vendor on your domain | Vendors that build the ordering page under your domain or embed it. A monthly fee or a small per-order fee instead of a commission; the customer data is yours. |
| A delivery app's "direct" product | Some apps sell a white-label ordering page for your own site at a lower commission. It counts as direct when it sits on your domain and you are the merchant of record. |
| Your own shop | Shopify, WooCommerce or Wix Stores with the menu as products and pick-up as the delivery method. |
| A simple order form | For small places: the menu as text and a form with the order, confirmed by you. Scores as a direct channel; the action test scores it partial. |
The apps bring customers who browse the app. The direct page serves the ones who found you, through search or through an assistant, and should not cost you the same commission. Listing both is the common setup; the score only asks whether a direct path exists.
