Works with agents: a test, a date, a mark

A booking or ordering vendor serves hundreds of business websites through one widget. When an agent can act on that widget, every one of those businesses is reachable by agents at once; when it cannot, none is. The verification programme runs our browser action test on every site using the vendor, hands the vendor the per-site details and the failure patterns, and once the test passes, marks the vendor "works with agents" on its page and on the reports of its sites. The mark states a test and a date. It never changes a score.

Every vendor's page already shows what the index finds, free and without asking. The programme adds the depth, the conversation, and the mark.

What is tested

The action test, on every site using the vendor

  1. The action test on each site

A browser opens the direct booking or ordering page of every site in the index that uses the vendor and looks for the controls an agent needs: a date, a time, a party size, an add-to-cart, prices. It stops before confirming anything; it never fills a form or places an order. Each site gets completed, partial or failed, with a sentence on why.

  2. The failure patterns

Where the test fails, the reasons are grouped: a widget that renders nothing without a click, a frame from another domain, a calendar an agent cannot drive, a consent wall first. Each pattern comes with the sites it affects and a plain suggestion.

  3. The edge blocks

The sites using the vendor whose host turns GPTBot, ClaudeBot or PerplexityBot away at the door, so an agent never reaches the widget at all. Usually a hosting bot list the owner never chose; the vendor is well placed to tell them.

  4. The mark

When the test passes on the vendor's sites, the vendor page says "verified: works with agents, tested on {date}, {share} of its sites pass", and the report of every site using the vendor carries the same line. Dated, factual, renewed with the next test; withdrawn if a later test fails.

  5. What it never does

No points, no placement, no ranking. The Agent-Direct Score is computed the same way for every site whether or not its vendor is in the programme (principles).

Per vendor, per year, invoiced; the price depends on the number of sites tested. The first conversation is free: write below.
