Clover runs on the business's own domain: the booking or the order lands with the business, which stays the merchant of record. An agent that reaches the site can act there.
No. Clover's consumer app terms (8 June 2023), linked as platform terms from its ordering pages, say you must not use any robot, spider or other device or process to access the service, or use buying agents.
Read 2026-10-15 from www.clover.com/consumer/terms. The vendor's consumer terms prohibit bots or automated means, so an agent booking or ordering there acts against them. The vendor's own page wins over anything written here; write to hello@directindex.org to correct it. All vendors: vendor terms for agents.
A browser opens the direct booking or ordering page and looks for the controls an agent needs (date, time, party size, add to cart, prices); it never fills or submits anything.
