Society Reception at Government HouseIn August, committee members from the WA Police Historical Society Inc joined the Governor and Mrs Dawson at Government House for a reception. WAPHS was established in 1987 by serving Police Officers with the support of the then Commissioner Brian Bull. They seek to preserve police history, including through collection of artefacts, photographs, documentation and personal histories from serving officers. Based at the old Highgate Hill Police Station, the WAPHS have restored the station and cells interior to reflect what it would have looked like during it’s use, as well as establishing a museum and office space on site.
