Log in Puget Sound's LGBTQ+ Boating Club About Join us Events Member Pages Contact Have fun on the water with LGBTQ+ folks who enjoy boating in the Pacific Northwest! Our club provides fun and safe boating activities for our members, families, and guests. We schedule on-water and on-land boating events throughout the year. Are you looking for friendship and companionship while improving and sharing your boating skills? Power boaters and sailors of all experience levels are welcome. Maybe you've recently acquired your first boat. Or maybe you've already put hundreds or even thousands of miles under your keel. We don't care if your boat is big or small, old or new, fast or slow. Maybe you don't have access to a boat yet...that's fine too! We believe in protecting the environment and the natural beauty of our local waterways. We courteously share waterways, anchorages, and docks with other boaters. OYC has been supporting the LGBTQ+ boating community since 1979. We organize boating activities throughout the year! During the boating season in spring, summer, and fall, you’ll find weekend rendezvous on the calendar. We typically meet at one of Puget Sound's numerous marinas. Saturday evening potlucks are common. Club members sometimes coordinate longer trips to southern Puget Sound or north towards the San Juan Islands and into British Columbia. On the other hand, a day trip to Andrews Bay on Lake Washington is always fun. Land-based activities might include a seminar to help you improve your boating skills, a brunch that coincides with the Seattle Boat Show, occasional happy hours, and perhaps even an afternoon of bowling.
