It comes from daberu — Japanese slang for hanging out and chatting with people you like. In 2018 we opened a very small room on Suffolk Street and named it after that word, because that was the whole idea: a place for friends. Now we’ve gone back to basics. The menu is new — Japanese sandos on our milk bread, homemade curry, artisanal coffee, high-quality matcha — but the name means exactly what it meant in 2018. Good food, made properly from high-quality ingredients, in a room that’s comfortable to be in. Our customers helped us build a community here — and this is for them. The coffee. Exclusive beans, roasted only for us by 95 RPM — and the roast changes with the season. Eat it here · Take it home The menu FoodDrinks Japanese sandos on our milk brea
